About Colin
A producer first and an engineer to the core, with more than 25 years in audio production.
Colin has worked with developing bands and with major-label and national-level artists, and he brings the same standard to both. His goal is a record that sounds like the best version of the artist. There’s no house sound: the workflow and the amount of direction bend to each artist and project.
A working musician since 18, Colin plays guitar, bass and keys and writes string and drum arrangements. He talks about tone, feel and performance in musical terms, and hears a take the way the player does.
He is based in Columbus, Ohio, where he is Chief Engineer at JSR Studios, and works remotely with artists around the world.

Founded in 1991 by John Schwab, JSR Studios has served professional clients for more than three decades. Colin joined in 2006, rose to Chief Engineer, and personally handles his sessions, mixes and masters there.
